On behalf of the Mosquito Lagoon Marine Enhancement Center, MDC would like to cordially invite each of you to the upcoming ribbon cutting ceremony for the grand opening of the new salt marsh plant nursery, kayak launch, and shoreline education area.

We’re excited to showcase the Mosquito Lagoon Marine Enhancement Center’s next big step in implementing our long-term site plan.
This project supports restoring the wetlands on the property, developing a tidally influenced nursery for growing the plants needed for restoration projects throughout Mosquito Lagoon, a kayak launch, and a shoreline stabilization demonstration area for visitors to learn about environmentally-friendly stabilization techniques.

When:
Tuesday, November 18, 2014
10:00 AM – 11:30 AM,

Where:
The Marine Discovery Center
520 Barracuda Blvd.
New Smyrna Beach, FL 32169

A brief ceremony will be held at the site to commence opening of the marsh plant nursery, kayak launch, and shoreline education area. All partners and
elected officials present will be invited to say a few words.

Following the opening ceremony, a short walking tour of the site and overview of each element will be provided.
