Open Mat-Making event February 15

Feb 11th, 2014 | Category: Blogs, Oyster Restoration News, Shoreline Restoration News

Show some love for the Lagoon around Valentine’s Day! We’ll be set up in the back oyster lot at MDC this Saturday from 9am – 1pm with all the supplies you need to construct oyster mats or bags. Come on by and we’ll show you how to create new habitat using recycled shell materials. By participating in the Shuck and Share oyster recycling program, you are helping to keep our lagoon healthy and clean.

This is a fun, free activity for individuals or groups. No RSVP required.

We had a great turnout at the last open mat-making event, and volunteers made 58 new mats! See how many YOU can contribute this Saturday!
