VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION

SATURDAY, AUGUST 11TH 10-12PM
If you are interested in volunteering with the Marine Discovery Center, come to this event, learn what we have to offer and sign up on the spot. These are some of the positions that are available:

FINISH EXHIBIT DRAWERS – WALL MURAL RESTORATION –AQUARIUM MAINTENANCE –
LANDSCAPING – TRAIL MAINTENANCE – SPECIAL EVENTS PLANNING- BUILDING MAINTENANCE – DAYTONA RACK CARD DISTRIBUTION – KAYAK MAINTENANCE- BOAT MAINTENANCE – WELCOME DESK AND DOCENTS


THIS MONTHS MEMBERS SPECIAL – $10

This is a 2 hour guided tour through the Mangrove Forest of the secluded Brown”s Bay. Your tour guide will stop along the way to explain the forest and its many inhabitants.

Check for other SPECIAL KAYAK TRIPS on Wednesdays. These will take us to different locations or half day trips to the find conchs, horseshoe crabs and stingray which hang out on these exposed sandbars.


FISH TANK TRAINING

TUESDAY, AUGUST 7TH 4-5PM
Chad and Trey will be leading this program for anyone interested in helping us maintain our 15 fish tanks, 1 frog, 1 snake and 3 touch tanks. Please show up at the Marine Discovery Center at 4pm for this event.
