Found a freshly dead octopus this morning on the Inlet beach after surfing dawn patrol. Brought it back to the MDC and spread it out, only to find that its chromatophores were still firing. Here’s a video of the event for your viewing pleasure. Looks kinda like a lava lamp

While on a Marine Discovery Center Kayak Tour, we found this conch on a sandbar in the Mosquito Lagoon, New Smyrna Beach, Florida. We are studying his movements and will then release him back to the lagoon.
